In large scale PVP such as this 40-man arena, you are generally expected to heal. But you can also be a damage absorber (bear) or damage dealer (cat). You will be surprised how many people still target you after you have turned into a bear with 8,000+ armor. If you are feral spec you can dish out pretty decent damage in cat form, on par with a rogue.
